“The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers the outcasts of Israel.”
Psalm 137:2
Today Jerusalem is build and the outcasts of Israel are returning.
“Again you will plant vineyards
On the hills of Samaria;
The planters will plant
And will enjoy the fruit.”
Jeremiah 31:5
It wasn’t like that after the return from Babylon. But today it is a reality. Israel is returning to the mountains of Samaria and planting vineyards there.
“And He will lift up a flag for the nations
And assemble the banished ones of Israel,
And will gather the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.”
Isaiah 11:12
Never before in history have so many Jews from all over the world returned to Israel. It is happening in our time.
“I will also restore the fortunes of My people Israel,
And they will rebuild the desolated cities and live in them;
They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine,
And make gardens and eat their fruit.
I will also plant them on their land,
And they will not be uprooted again from their land
Which I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.”
Amos 9:14,15
“And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather
together His [x] elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
“Now learn the parable from the fig tree: as soon as its branch has become tender
and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near.”
Matthew 24:31-32
Jesus uses the image of a fig tree as a metaphor for the return of Israel. We can already see the tree sprouting and therefore know that the coming of the Messiah is near.
